Make Fitness Your Own

Fitness comes in many forms.  For me, I have never been one to enjoy hopping around in aerobics or Zumba. I enjoy power walking, participating in 5ks for a cause, weights and most recently Yoga.  The misconception about yoga is that it is about contortionist poses, I thought that as well. Yoga is actually about something much deeper.

If you’re a yoga practitioner, you’ve probably noticed some yoga benefits—maybe you’re sleeping better or getting fewer colds or just feeling more relaxed and at ease. Western science is starting to provide some concrete clues as to how yoga works to improve health, heal aches and pains and keep sickness at bay.

There are countless benefits to this practice, I have been blessed enough to find a love for it and for my children to join me in the journey. Whichever form of fitness you practice, make it something that you enjoy and look forward too, not something that you dread.  Make it something that gifts you a deeper sense of self and spirituality and cleanses your mind, body, and soul.
